    It'll be all over by morning-- whatever has been killing my chickens will be a mangled, lifeless skin-sack of decomposing meat & bones. I have spent several days fabricating a custom red cedar heartwood handle for my machete, and I have a very powerful (1,000,000-candlepower) spotlight  that will instantly blind anything that looks toward its tungsten-filament bulb.
    I spent a few months feeding & pampering those chickens-- I like fresh eggs, and they were almost old enough to start laying. then something (or someone) started slipping into the coop, late at night, or early in the morning, and killing them.
    enough of all that. I am ready to start doing some killing of my own, now...
